Hardcore fans of the WWE product usually have a loud voice when it comes to criticizing the WWE product. Fans dislike that someone is being pushed or their favorite isn’t being used properly in an endless cycle. Shawn Michaels on Vince Russo’s new podcast, insinuates that the WWE doesn’t listen to the hardcore fans because they stick around the product and continue to consume it. It doesn’t matter if they are happy or pissed, as long as you continue to watch, they don’t care. He also spoke about not missing the WWE because of today’s product.
Shawn Michaels on hardcore fans who complain about the product constantly but continue to watch the WWE:
“I get what those hardcore fans say and they don’t like it, but at the same time, and I’m gonna get a ton of heat for this, but it is true: You DO keep watching. The ratings may go down, but we’re not losing you.”
If he misses the WWE:
“Everybody asks me, ‘Do you miss it?’ No, I don’t miss it, because what’s on TV now isn’t what I used to do. So it’s easy not to miss.”

Some interesting comments from Shawn Michaels. It is kind of like Roman Reigns’ reaction right now. Some fans boo, some fans cheer and the WWE only cares that you are making noise for him. The only way for significant change to happen in the WWE is to stop consuming the product all together. Once they lose the hardcore fans, than they are really in trouble. Some fans who absolutely can’t stand the product will continue to watch and complain, which won’t lead to anything. It is like an abusive relationship that some people keep coming back for more even though the thing they love hurts them the most.
