Shane McMahon was without a fifth member for his Survivor Series team. Shane, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and Bobby Roode had all previously been announced for Team Smackdown. There was much speculation about who would be the fifth and deciding member, especially with AJ Styles winning the WWE Title.
Shane McMahon announced that John Cena will be member number 5. Here is what he posted:

Cena was originally rumored to be special guest referee between Jinder Mahal and Brock Lesnar.
