Seth Rollins was recently interviewed on the Gorilla Position podcast. During this, he was asked his thoughts on ‘RAW Underground’, which was introduced by Shane McMahon last week.
Here is what Seth had to say about the new concept (h/t to Cageside Seats for the quotes below):
“Hey, man, it’s outside the box, you know? Obviously, like I said earlier, our audience is different, they’re begging for something different all the time, something new, something fresh. So I think my verdict on it is kind of TBD. Like, let’s see what happens, you know? It could end up being ridiculous in a bad way or it could end up being ridiculous in a good way. Who knows?
I think obviously in the first week it got people’s attention — we jumped up a little bit in our viewership, which is great. And so now can we keep the ball rolling? We’ll see. I had no idea what to expect when I saw it on the sheet. When I watched it back I was not entirely offended by it, especially as something that is really a brand new idea in its infancy. Obviously you’re going to make adjustments to it and figure it out along the way. I’m open to seeing what it becomes as time goes on. Like I said, who knows? To be determined. In 2020 anything can happen. I’m obviously hoping for the best.”
