Seth Rollins was recently a guest on the ‘Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast’ hosted by occasional WWE panelist: Sam Roberts. During the podcast, he gave the back story about the ‘Burn It Down’ added to his entrance theme.
Several weeks ago, Seth had ‘Burn It Down’ added to his usual theme music. This was a big change considering his usual song doesn’t have any lyrics at all. So why was the change made?
According to Rollins on the podcast, he was a bit confused when first told that they wanted to change his music. This was because he had been using the same theme for the past few years and there was no problems with it.
WWE officials told him the reason, and it was because of Vince McMahon:
“Well, Vince doesn’t like that pause”
Seth’s original theme had a pause in the place where ‘Burn It Down’ is now. Here was Seth’s response to that:
“I’m like, he’s been hearing this same music for 3 years, what are we talking about. They played like 5 different little things. 3 of them were like soundbites…. One of them actually said ‘Kingslayer’ but it was very seductive….The ‘Burn it Down’ was the best option available so it was like yeah, whatever, do it… But it actually kind of worked out well”
