As you likely have heard by now, a number of WWE stars were released from the WWE roster on Friday. Two of these names were El Torito and Santino Marella. El Torito served as the mascot for the Los Matadores tag team from 2012-2015. Since than he hasn’t appeared on WWE TV except for in backstage comedy segments the odd time. Santino Marella occasionally showed up on WWE TV from time to time. The last time we saw him was around Christmas of this year.
El Torito commented on his WWE release, saying that his career will continue post WWE:
Every begining has an end. Thanks WWE and fans. My career continuous.

Santino commented on his release, saying he is excited about the next chapter of his life:
