Sami Zayn faced off against Bobby Lashley at the Money in the Bank PPV event on Sunday night in Chicago. The match was a pretty one-sided, with Lashley picking up the victory.
It turns out that Sami is actually injured and could be out for the next little while.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Zayn had been working through an injury for quite some time. Money in the Bank was Zayn’s final date before getting the injury dealt with.
Johnson reports that Zayn was not backstage for RAW this week. He is scheduled to travel to Birmingham, Alabama this week to be examined and to have the injury dealt with.
It is still unclear what exactly Zayn is dealing with. We only know that Zayn is hurt and will be missing some time.
UPDATE-— Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Zayn is dealing with both knee and shoulder injuries. The severity of both is still unknown.
