WWE recently filed for the trademark ‘Tough Enough’. This has led to speculation that the company could be looking to bring the show concept back for another season.
The Original Plans For Lio Rush
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original idea for Lio Rush was for him to be the lead heel of 205 Live. The plan was for him to always hide behind the much bigger, Babatunde Aiyegbusi.
Lio and Babatunde were paired together in NXT, working the gimmick at live events.
Vince McMahon’s New Favorite Superstar
Speaking of Lio Rush, WrestlingNews.co says that Vince McMahon has taken a strong interest in him. Vince is said to be a big fan of Rush and impressed with how he has been doing so far.
As noted prior, Vince has been feeding Rush lines directly during his mid-match promos.
