The New Day have been on an incredible run for the past year and a half with the tag team titles. On December 14th, they will break the record held by Demolition (478 days) and become the longest reigning tag team champions of all time (in a single reign) .
Their run has been great so far but many would argue that it has run its course and there needs to be some change in the RAW tag team division to give some other teams the chance to shine.
Below are some rumors circulating about the ending of the New Day’s title reign. These are rumors and should be treated as such, so take with a grain of salt.
Many have speculated that the New Day would lose their titles at the WWE Roadblock: End of the Line PPV event. This takes place on December 18th, which is 4 days after they break the record. It has been clear for a long time that WWE wanted the New Day to erase Demolition’s name in the record books (both Ax and Smash were a part of a lawsuit against WWE in 2016).
Rumors have been floating around that WWE might wait for a little bit longer for the New Day to drop the titles. If they lose them at Roadblock, it makes it look like WWE was only keeping the belts on them to break the record. Giving them an extra month would further legitimize their reign (in the eyes of WWE). Many fans like myself would like to see the titles change hands and give another team a much needed shot in the arm.
As for who will be the ones to take the titles off the New Day. There are 2 main options right now, Sheamus & Cesaro or Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Both teams have been beaten by the New Day in the past few weeks but they were not clean wins. It is likely that we could be seeing a triple threat match between The New Day, Gallows & Anderson and Sheamus & Cesaro at Roadblock. If the rumors are true, the New Day will find a way to retain and eventually lose the titles at the Royal Rumble.

Rumors right now favor Sheamus & Cesaro winning the belts from the New Day and continuing their interesting dynamic as a tag team.
Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Who do you want to see take the titles off the New Day???
I want the New Day to keep the belts for 5 more years.
