Rumor: WWE Possibly Changing Up Plans For Lio Rush

Lio Rush has made quite the impact since he started managing Bobby Lashley a few months ago. Rush has been annoying fans with his promos before, after and even during Lashley’s matches.

Is WWE looking to change things up for Rush?

It looks like WWE might be scrapping Lio Rush’s mid-match promos. Rush did not do his usual schtick of talking during Lashley’s match at the WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Many fans thought that this was just a one-time thing.

Rush also didn’t talk through Lashley’s match on RAW this week against Finn Balor. According to Wrestling INC, Rush has also stopped talking during Lashley’s matches at WWE live events.

This all seems to indicate that WWE could be scrapping the mid-match promos from Rush’s gimmick moving forward. He still cuts promos before and after the match but not during.

This would be an interesting move by WWE. The mid-match promos seem to really be generating him heat from the crowd.
