Rumor Roundup: WWE’s Mentality About The Recent Releases, Storyline Plans Dropped? More

1) WWE’s Mentality About The Recent Releases

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed the rumors that Sarah Logan was originally planned to appear on RAW this week. Here is a recap of what Meltzer said (via F4WOnline):

On the post-Raw Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Logan was originally supposed to be part of the show and was in the script. However, once the show started, Logan was written off the show and not used.

Meltzer also noted that WWE’s mentality is that they can still use the released Superstars on television since they are paying them for the next 90 days:

Meltzer also said that WWE’s mentality is that since talent that were cut last week are still being paid for the next 90 days, the company feels they can still use them during that time period. Drake Maverick, for example, will be competing in the upcoming NXT interim cruiserweight title tournament despite being released last week.

Meltzer also noted that Sarah Logan has not been re-hired by WWE.

My Take:

  • My guess is that WWE is going to hire back Sarah Logan and Drake Maverick when the pandemic is over. As a result, they still feel comfortable with helping out WWE during these 90 days.
