Rumor Roundup: WWE’s Interesting Offer To Matt Hardy, Matches Not Happening At Wrestlemania 36, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) John Cena Not Facing Newcomer At Wrestlemania 36

Killer Kross is a name that has been coming up a lot over the past few weeks. Some fans think that he could be behind the recent ‘glitches’ that have happened on Smackdown.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Main Event podcast, Killer Kross will not be facing John Cena at Wrestlemania 36. This became a rumor after news circulated that Cena would no longer be facing Elias at the event. There was also a rumor that WWE had some big plans for Kross on the main roster, which played into that speculation.

Meltzer says he was specifically told by a source that Cena vs Kross is not happening.

My Take:

  • What a way that would have been to start Kross’ main roster career. They could have put him over as a major threat if he beat Cena at Wrestlemania, in his likely first match with the company.

4) Rumor Killer On More NXT Stars At Wrestlemania 36

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there are no more NXT Superstars being added to the Wrestlemania 36 card.

Here is what he said (via Ringside News):

“There’s 14 matches on the card and there are no other NXT guys on the card unless, of course, plans change which they obviously can at any time. The card that’s out doesn’t have any other NXT personalities other than Rhea Ripley.”

This coincides with the recent rumor that suggested Keith Lee will not be on the Wrestlemania 36 card after taking part in Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble.

My Take:

  • That means Bianca Belair will not be added to the NXT Women’s Title match at Wrestlemania 36. Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair will be staying as it is.
