Rumor Roundup: WWE Upset By AEW Promo, People In WWE Pushing Vince To Sign Top Free Agent, More

1) WWE Upset By AEW Promo

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there were people in WWE who were upset by a recent promo that aired on AEW Dynamite.

During the latest episode, Taz cut a promo about the match between Jon Moxley and Brian Cage being pushed back for a few weeks. During this, Taz said the following line:

“We [AEW] don’t run a sloppy shop.”

This was seen by many as a shot at WWE and how they have handled the COVID-19 pandemic so far. Meltzer says that there were people in WWE who were very upset by this line from Taz:

“Boy were there people up upset with that line, there were! Really, are you kidding? Think about it!”

My Take:

  • It will be interesting to see if AEW and WWE start taking more shots at one another in the upcoming weeks. It sounds like WWE didn’t appreciate this latest one.
