3) Ember Moon’s Current WWE Status
Ember Moon was recently interviewed by Comicbook.com. During this, she revealed that she is currently fighting against getting a second surgery to fix her achilles. This comes after she said that the injury could be career-ending a few months ago.
Here is what Ember said:
“It’s just a very, very long process and I would love, love, love to have a date back on the board but it’s up in the air. I’m sitting here and I’m fighting a second surgery. I’m fighting against the second surgery. That’s how bad it is. When I went on Backstage and I said, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to wrestle again,’ I meant what I said and I, I stand by that.”
My Take:
- I feel terrible for Ember. She is super talented and it would be a shame for her career to end early because of an injury like this. I wish her the best and hope that she is able to get back to normal (or as close as possible).
2) WWE Bringing In Several New Wrestlers
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported this week that WWE has officially purchased EVOLVE Wrestling. Johnson noted that this sale means that WWE will now be bringing in some Superstars from the promotion.
Here is what he wrote:
The belief among those we have spoken to is that several contracted EVOLVE talents will be signed and enter the WWE NXT system as well. How many signings there will be has not been confirmed, but the expectation is that it will be at least four talents, possibly more. PWInsider.com has not confirmed any talents have signed as of this writing and we have been given no indication that the existing EVOLVE/WWN talent contracts are part of the sale.
My Take:
- It will be interesting to see who WWE brings in after all of this. EVOLVE always seems to produce some good talent, so it should definitely help WWE.
