3) Backstage Note On Candice LeRae
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Candice LeRae’s contract with WWE is expected to expire this spring.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
Candice LeRae’s WWE contract is set to expire “this Spring,” and thus far has not been renewed or frozen. When we spoke to WWE sources, they weren’t sure if a freeze was able to even happen considering that LeRae has been out on maternity leave. Those that we heard from in WWE did not expect her to be back by the time the deal expired, and said that an extension hadn’t been discussed either.
My Take:
- I wonder if she will join AEW. That seems like the safe bet.
2) Backstage Note On The 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame Class
According to Mike Johnson of Pwinsider, Batista is rumored for the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame class.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
“We’ve been asked about Dave Bautista potentially going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. We are told that is not currently in the planning but it is expected he’ll be in attendance in Dallas for Undertaker’s Hall of Fame induction. We are told that internally, Bautista’s official induction ceremony is more likely for next year in Los Angeles.”
My Take:
- Batista is definitely worthy. I am excited to see him get his moment.
