Rumor Roundup: WWE Redesigning Two Title Belts, WWE’s Feeling About Matt Riddle, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) WWE’s Feeling About Matt Riddle

According to a report from journalist Tom Colohue, WWE feels like Matt Riddle needs a guiding hand on the WWE main roster. This comes after the news broke that Kurt Angle turned down the role to be Riddle’s manager on Smackdown.

Here is what Colohue said:

Riddle’s story is a bit of an odd one. He was never meant to be in NXT for very long but he was kept there because he kept getting hit when he encountered a Goldberg or a Lesnar, which unfortunately has annoyed a lot of talent.

So the idea of a manager was more to have someone keeping him in line and guiding him, similar to the way MVP and Seth Rollins are working on RAW at the moment. Bringing in fresh talent and sort of guiding them in the right direction,

There is a feeling now on the main roster that Matt Riddle needs a bit of a guiding hand.

My Take:

  • I think that Riddle will be fine on his own. I am excited to see how he does on Smackdown.

4) Update On Elias

WWE announced on Smackdown last week that Elias could be out of action for “months” after he was involved in the hit-and-run incident on Smackdown.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline, Elias legitimately suffered a torn pectoral muscle and he will be out of action for months:

It has been confirmed that the storyline injury to Elias is a real injury, putting him out of action.

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Elias was written out of television last week due to a torn pectoral muscle. WWE.com noted that Elias had suffered broken ribs and a torn pectoral muscle as a result of the hit and run angle on SmackDown last week. The injury will put him out of action for months.

My Take:

  • Damn, this sucks for Elias. I wish him a speedy recovery.
