Rumor Roundup: WWE Making A Change To PPV Booking, A “First Time Ever” Match At TLC, More

3) CM Punk Turned Down A Lot Of Money From AEW To Join WWE Backstage

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, CM Punk met with Tony Khan of AEW before signing with FOX for WWE Backstage.

Punk apparently turned down a big offer from the promotion to join the WWE show on FOX. Here is what Alvarez said:

Now, what I can tell you with negotiations with Punk are that Punk did, in fact, negotiate with AEW. I know that Punk’s story, I don’t even know what his story is now but I know that the story he gave indicated like they (AEW) sent me some texts and it was this and it was that. CM Punk met in person with Tony Khan about AEW and they offered him a lot of money, and he ended up doing this WWE on FOX gig.

2) A “First Time Ever” Match Could Happen At TLC

The Target Center in Minnesota will be hosting the 2019 TLC PPV event. The official website for the event is advertising an interesting match for the women’s division:

BECKY LYNCH & CHARLOTTE vs. KABUKI WARRIORS (for the FIRST TIME EVER for the Women’s Tag Team Championship a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

If it happens, this will be the first time that women have competed in a tag team, TLC match in WWE history.
