3) Post-Backlash Shows Being Taped Before The PPV
According to a report from Wrestling INC, WWE will be taping the June 15th episode of RAW and the June 19th episode of Smackdown next week.
Since WWE Backlash takes place on June 14th, these episodes will be taped before the PPV actually happens:
WWE will be taping two weeks television next week, heading into the Backlash pay-per-view.
The post-Backlash episodes of RAW and SmackDown will be taped before the pay-per-view. WWE did the same with WrestleMania this past April where they taped the post-WrestleMania 36 episode of RAW before recording most of the pay-per-view.
My Take:
- This seems a bit risky in case somebody gets hurt at Backlash. This would put them in a situation where they would have to scrap some of the content that they already filmed and replace it with something else.
2) Kurt Angle’s WWE Future
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Kurt Angle kept the door open for him to wrestle another match in WWE.
Here is what he said:
“Right now, I can’t. Could my mind be changed? Yes, for two reasons. I’m working on my business, and I’ve been doing a lot of rehab on my body, trying to get myself back to where I’m able to live a healthy lifestyle. I’d been so banged up—my neck, my back, and my neck—but I’m making improvements.
“If I get to the point where I feel I can do it, then I’ll probably do it. But right now, I have to focus on my body.”
My Take:
- I would love to see Kurt Angle vs Chad Gable at a PPV. I only want it to happen though if Kurt is going to be 100% safe. If not, it is not worth it.
