3) How WWE Feels About Eric Bischoff
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE is willing to work with Eric Bischoff again. This comes after Bischoff was let go from the company several months ago.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
[WWE doesn’t] hold any ill will towards Eric Bischoff following his departure from the company a few months ago. They said that they’re even open to working with Bischoff again on the digital end of things and that he’s been good to deal with in the limited interaction they have had.
My Take:
- I do think that Bischoff could be a valuable worker for WWE behind-the-scenes. I don’t think that it was the right call to put him in charge of Smackdown since he had been out of the company for so many years. They should have slowly worked him back into the mix.
2) How WWE Is Protecting Employees At The Performance Center
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Superstars are being kept separate when they are at the WWE Performance Center for tapings of RAW, Smackdown, NXT, and Wrestlemania 36.
Here is what Johnson had to say about how WWE is protecting employees while they are still working:
We have been told that when talents and staff arrive, they meet with WWE medical and have their temperature checked and are asked about any potential symptoms they might be experiencing. If anyone if feeling ill in any way, whether they are symptoms of coronavirus or not, they are not allowed into the building. Once they enter, they are kept separated from everyone else until it is time for their segment. We are also told that talents and staff are scheduled in cycles so that there are only many people in the building at the same time.
My Take:
- This is probably the best that they can do under these circumstances, other than cancel the tapings completely.
