1) Why Superstars Aren’t Being Used In The Crowd At WWE Shows
Many fans have asked why WWE isn’t using their roster to serve as fans for episodes of RAW and Smackdown. This would give the matches a bit of crowd reaction instead of being silent.
Mike Johnson of PWinsider has provided the reason why WWE isn’t using Superstars in the crowd right now.
Johnson says that WWE knows it is difficult to watch their content without any fans. While saying that, Vince McMahon is against the idea of putting Superstars in the crowd. Here is what he said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“WWE knows. I was told all the way up to the top of the company everybody knows deep down how hard it is to watch the content being produced. There are a lot people asking why don’t they put wrestlers in the crowd and why don’t they do things. We were told there is a push back to that. I’m just told that Vince McMahon doesn’t want it that way and with everything else in the company if Vince McMahon says ‘jump’ everyone else says, ‘how high?’”
My Take:
- They should use some of the WWE Performance Center recruits to serve as fans. I would keep them 6-feet apart and scatter them around the Performance Center. It wouldn’t be the worst idea to have people reacting to the matches going on in the ring.
