3) The Next WWE PPV After Backlash
WWE recently announced that the next PPV event will be Backlash on June 14th. It is likely that this event will be taking place at the WWE Performance Center due to what is going on in the world right now. So what about after Backlash?
The next PPV event after Backlash will be Extreme Rules. It was originally supposed to take place on July 19th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Based on everything going on, we can expect that this event will also take place at the WWE Performance Center.
That means the schedule goes Backlash, Extreme Rules, and Summerslam over the next three months.
My Take:
- Extreme Rules seems like it would make a lot of sense for an empty arena show. They can do various stipulation matches to make up for there being no fans in attendance.
2) How WWE Feels About Alberto Del Rio
News broke this weekend that Alberto Del Rio was arrested. After the news broke, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful provided an interesting tidbit about Alberto.
During some interviews that came out a few months ago, Del Rio said that he was in talks with WWE about a potential return to the company. Sapp says that he asked people within WWE about this and they denied the company having any interest in bringing back Del Rio:
My Take:
- I never bought the rumors either. After the graphic allegations came out, that has likely sealed it for him in WWE ever again.
