3) Rumor Killer On Who Tested Positive For The Coronavirus In WWE
As noted prior, a WWE employee recently tested positive for the coronavirus. Dave Meltzer took to his daily update on F4WOnline to clear up a rumor about the situation.
Meltzer says that it was not Carmella or Corey Graves who tested positive. Here is what he wrote:
Just to kill rumors about the identity of the person with COVID-19, it is not Corey Graves nor is it Carmella. It was not an active wrestler but it was an on-air personality.
My Take:
- This was something that was making the rounds so good to see it cleared up. Carmella has also now shut down the rumor on Twitter.
2) Why The Revival Was Released Right Now
News broke a few days ago that WWE had released The Revival from their contracts. It was also reported that the duo will not have to abide by any no-compete clause, which means they can sign elsewhere immediately if they want.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that they were released right now because AEW has already taped their next 6 weeks of television. He also says that it happened on a Friday because it would get buried in the news.
My Take:
- A no-compete clause is useless right now anyways because they likely can’t film their debut for AEW until things settle down.
