3) Brock Lesnar’s Medical Condition
Some fans have been asking why Brock Lesnar was still able to work Wrestlemania 36. This is because Brock has a pre-existing medical condition, which is Diverticulitis.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those who have Diverticulitis are not at significant risk of catching the coronavirus:
Since people have asked about Brock Lesnar, who has had multiple issues with Diverticulitis, doctors have told us that diverticulitis (which Vince McMahon has also had) in the past would not pose any more significant risk than anything else. McMahon is a risk because of his age. However, usage of anabolic steroids are immuno suppressive, and the virus doesn’t differentiate between people who TUE’s, so talent on steroids, people who travel that are on steroids and older people that travel that are on steroids would each be a one step higher risk category.
My Take:
- This was something that I was wondering myself. Glad to have a little bit more clarity on the subject.
2) The RAW Segment That Scored The Lowest Quarter-Hour Rating In Show History
According to Wrestling INC, the final segment on RAW this week with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar drew 1.574 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.
This is the lowest quarter rating in RAW history:
The first hour averaged 2.289 million viewers, with the Undertaker segment that opened the show garnering the highest-rated quarter with 2.233 million viewers. The second hour dropped to 1.986 million viewers while the third hour fell to 1.646 million viewers, a 23% drop from hour one. The final hour is the lowest-rated hour in the show’s history.
My Take:
- It is hard to fully judge ratings right now because of everyone watching the news. Still. I expected WWE to do a bit better on the go-home show for Wrestlemania 36.
