Rumor Roundup: Why Chad Gable Dropped ‘Shorty G’, Daniel Bryan’s WWE Future, More

3) More On WWE Splitting Up Heavy Machinery

Tucker and Otis were recently guests on D-Von Dudley’s Table Talk podcast. During this, they spoke about WWE putting Heavy Machinery on separate brands in the WWE Draft.

Tucker noted that they didn’t find out they were being split up until the news aired. Here is what he said:

“We found out at the last minute like most things happen here. And that’s just part of being a WWE Superstar. [I] actually found out live on Talking Smack that I was I going to move to Raw. It is what it is. Kind of good and bad or whatever, but mostly disappointing because Heavy Machinery still feels like they have some things to achieve. We haven’t won Tag Team Championships together and we feel like we still have more to do as a team. but not everything’s up to us and we’ll deal with what we got to deal with.”

My Take:

  • I hope that they are able to get back together down the road. They were a fun tag team to watch and I always thought that they would win the tag team belts at some point.

2) The Top Concern For Smackdown This Week

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, the top concern for this week’s episode of Smackdown was the ‘Law & Otis’ segment. Meltzer says that it was WWE’s biggest concern for the episode and everything else got delayed because of it.

Triple H was also brought in to help with this week’s episode. Here is what Meltzer wrote:

The reason nothing was advertised for Smackdown until today is because they were rewriting the show last night. They do have a show written and why today they didn’t announce matches earlier is a different question. The Otis trial which airs tonight is the reason everything went into chaos. That became the top concern and everything ended up delayed because of it. Nobody can understand why so much was devoted to a show that is expected to have a small audience tonight. Roman Reigns also will reveal the consequences of the I Quit Hell i a Cell match on Sunday. Paul Levesque was brought in to help with tonight’s show as he did for last week’s show.

My Take:

  • I thought that the ‘Law & Otis’ stuff was hilarious. They got creative with it and it worked out for them, so I have to give WWE some credit.
