Rumor Roundup: Why AOP Was Released, Fear Among WWE Superstars, More

3) Update On WWE In Saudi Arabia

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there will be no WWE PPV event in Saudi Arabia this year.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Tyson Fury (who issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre this past week for a match), [is at the] point where Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania are the only shows that make sense right now and the belief right now is Saudi Arabia won’t happen this year.

My Take:

  • This makes sense with all of the travel bans and stuff right now. As a fan, I am not upset about us missing one of these shows.

2) WWE Management Is Very High On Karrion Kross

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE management is very high on Karrion Kross.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

A source within NXT confirmed to us that Karrion Kross’ push has been the product of both Triple H and Matt Bloom being very high on him. As soon as Kross became available and met with WWE they were in on pushing him heavily. One person in NXT noted that they’ve never seen anyone there in their time held in such high regard by management, and it’s showing in the push for Kross. He’s said to have been easy to deal with since appearing in NXT after having a contract dispute in IMPACT.

My Take:

  • I am definitely excited to see how Kross does in the future. It sucks that he got injured but it is great to see that he has a ton of backstage support.
