3) How Much WWE Stars Are Being Paid For ‘WWE 2K Battlegrounds’
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has provided some new details about what Superstars are being paid for appearing in the video game, “WWE 2K Battlegrounds”.
One source noted to Sapp that they were told they would receive a $35,000 bonus for appearing in the game. Here is what he wrote:
WWE video game paychecks aren’t quite what they used to be, as most talent will tell you, but they’re still pretty good. One WWE talent told Fightful they were told they’d get a $35,000 bonus for appearing in the game, which doesn’t figure to sell anywhere near what the usual annual games are. There were others that faced confusion, as they’ll be included in the downloadable content, but were told they wouldn’t be offered the bonus because they didn’t have main roster contracts as of yet.
My Take:
- That sounds like a nice little payday if this is accurate.
2) WWE Bringing Back Another Old Show?
WWE recently filed for the trademark for “WWE Saturday Morning Slam”. This is an old show that aired on The CW network from 2012 to 2013.
This comes after WWE recently filed for the trademark for “WWE Livewire”, which is another old show. It looks like WWE could be bringing back a few older shows.
My Take:
- I don’t remember ‘Saturday Morning Slam’ at all. It definitely sounds like WWE is planning something.
