Rumor Roundup: What Vince Thinks About Matt Riddle, WWE Changing More Title Designs? More

3) WWE Changing Up Their Presentation

According to Wrestling INC, WWE has made a change to their presentation of RAW, Smackdown, NXT, and PPV events. Ring announcers will no longer be appearing in the ring during match introductions.

Here is what the site wrote:

WWE made the decision to not have ring announcers appear in the ring during match introductions. The word I received was that they will only appear in the ring if a match has a Championship on the line, however that may not always be the case, as there were no ring introductions for the AJ Styles vs. Drew Gulak Intercontinental Championship match last Friday on SmackDown.

My Take:

  • This is definitely going to be weird moving forward if the ring announcers aren’t in there for big title matches. The weekly stuff on television doesn’t bother me at all. It might be strange though for the bigger matches if they drop that completely.

2) More On Heath Slater’s RAW Appearance

According to journalist Tom Colohue, the reason why Heath Slater appeared on RAW this week was to give him a one-time pay day. This comes before the non-compete clause in his WWE contract officially expires.

Here is what Colohue Tweeted:

My Take:

  • That makes sense as Heath has been loyal to the WWE for many years, so it is nice to see him get a pay day. Still, I wish the company would have kept him as he is a good hand in the ring.
