Rumor Roundup: Vince McMahon’s Reaction To The Lana/Rusev Storyline, The Plans For Roman Reigns, More

3) The Upcoming Plans For Roman Reigns?

On Smackdown last week, Roman Reigns was attacked by Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. This was during Reigns’ match against King Corbin. The distraction from Ziggler and Roode led to Corbin defeating Reigns.

According to Cageside Seats‘ rumor roundup, Reigns could be receiving some help in this storyline with Corbin, Ziggler, and Roode. They say that speculation is that The Usos will be brought back to WWE television for this storyline. If it happens, they would come to the aid of Reigns, which would even the numbers.

This would actually make some sense as Ziggler and Roode attacking Reigns was really random. The Usos returning has been a rumor for a while now and this storyline provides the perfect opportunity. We will have to wait and see.

2) More On Sin Cara’s Current Contract & Status

As noted prior, Sin Cara publically asked for his release from WWE on Monday. According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE will not be granting his release request.

Here is what Johnson wrote about the situation:

WWE sources have indicated to PWInsider.com that Sin Cara’s release request is, as of this writing, not going to be approved.

We are also told that while he was initially slated to go to TV at the end of the European tour, he will instead be going home and will not be working Raw in Boston, MA next week.

Johnson also noted that Sin Cara’s deal with WWE expires in three years, so he could be sitting at home for a while:

We are told Sin Cara, who announced today he had requested his WWE release, has three years remaining on his current WWE deal.

The word making the rounds among WWE talents is that Cara, who is close with Alberto el Patron, has interest in going to work for MMA promotion Combates America, which features a number of pro wrestlers.
