1) Vince McMahon’s Reaction To The ‘Big Dog’ Parody On Smackdown
On Smackdown this week, King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode parodied Roman Reigns by bringing out their own “Big Dog” mascot.
This segment didn’t really go over great with fans, with many saying that it was silly.
According to WrestlingNews.co, Vince McMahon was dying laughing during this segment. Here are some quotes from the site:
I’m told that Vince McMahon was “howling” with laughter backstage and loved everything about the segment. Others in the company were not a fan of the segment but they are not going to express those thoughts to McMahon.
One WWE source told me: “Remember, the writers are trying to make Vince happy. If he’s happy then it means that jobs are safe. Vince has always been a fan of segments that parody his wrestlers. As long as Vince is around, you will always see segments like that one.”
I was also told that McMahon thought that Baron Corbin has done a lot to improve and loves what he is doing. In addition to his role at Survivor Series, Corbin is scheduled to wrestle Reigns next month in one of the top matches at the TLC pay-per-view.
