Rumor Roundup: Vince McMahon’s Feelings About The Lashley-Lana Arrest, Japanese Star To Wrestle For WWE In 2020, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Potential Host City For A Big WWE PPV Event

According to a report from ClickOrlando.com, Orlando has approved funding for two future big PPV events in the city.

Those events will be either Summerslam or Survivor Series. Here is an excerpt from the report:

Leaders in Orange County have approved $125,000 in funding to help bring two major World Wrestling Entertainment events to Orlando.

During a meeting on Tuesday, commissioners voted to use tourist development tax dollars in an effort to secure bids for WWE’s SummerSlam and Survivor Series events.

The board approved a bid fee of $75,000 for SummerSlam in August of either 2020, 2021 or 2022. The estimated economic impact of the event is $6 million.

A bid fee of $50,000 was also approved for Survivor Series in November of either 2020, 2021 or 2022. The estimated economic impact of that event is $4 million.

My Take: Summerslam in Orlando would be pretty cool. It would be great as a tourist destination for fans. Parents could take their kids to Disney and then go to Summerslam in the same weekend.

4) Japanese Star To Wrestle For WWE In 2020

According to a report from Tokyo Sports, Japanese star Sareee will be wrestling for WWE at some point in 2020.

Sareee was trained by Kyoko Inoue and has been wrestling since 2011. She recently announced that she will participate in STARDOM soon

She seems like someone to watch out for as a participant in the next Mae Young Classic.

My Take: I don’t know much about Sareee but I am excited to see what she can do. The Mae Young Classic seems like a perfect spot for her.
