1) Vince McMahon Sees Big Things In New Superstar
Cal Bloom appeared on the April 10th episode of Smackdown and lost to Sheamus. According to WrestlingNews.co, WWE sees a very bright future for Cal.
The site says that a lot of people in WWE got to see Bloom work for the first time during that Smackdown. The consensus from everyone, including Vince McMahon, is that he could be a big star. Here is an excerpt from the report:
“Everyone is comparing him to a young Edge,” said one WWE source. “He is rough around the edges but he has something and Vince thinks he can be a big deal but it will take some time.”
The same source noted that Vince feels that Cal has the size and look and moves around well in the ring, despite his lack of experience. The coaches at the Performance Center have also had good things to say about him.
Cal is the son of former WWE Superstar, Beau Beverly. The site says that from people who have seen him train, he is someone who could be a main event Superstar in WWE over the next couple of years.
My Take:
- I will definitely be keeping my eyes on Cal over the next year or so. This is some big praise, so I am interested to see how he develops.
