3) WWE Rejects Kairi Sane’s Request To Work For Stardom
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE rejected Kairi Sane’s request to work Stardom’s 10th Anniversary show.
Here is what Meltzer wrote about the situation:
Even though she asked, Kairi Hojo (Kairi Sane) was unable to get WWE permission to do the show. They had left it up to WWE. They wanted her in a big singles match but also offered WWE having her do a Rumble with legends. Sane is still under contract to WWE and works as a Japanese ambassador. There had been talk of her working for Stardom when she returned to Japan after getting married but she still has time on her deal.
My Take:
- This would have been cool for Kairi. While saying that, I am not surprised WWE rejected her offer. They aren’t going to let her work for someone else while she is still under contract. That just isn’t the WWE way.
2) Update On Carlito’s Status With WWE
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Carlito is not under contract with WWE and is open to work elsewhere.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Carlito is not under contract at this point. WWE used him for the Rumble and the next day and people put over his new physique, but at this point he is still a free agent and has said he’s open to work anywhere.
My Take:
- I thought that WWE should give Carlito a chance. He looked in great shape and could still go in the ring.
