Rumor Roundup: Unique Match Planned For Extreme Rules, Another WWE Superstar Switching Brands, More

3) Another Superstar Is Switching Brands

According to a report from Ringside News, Robert Roode is going to be switching from the Smackdown roster to Monday Night RAW.

Here is what the site wrote:

Ringside News has learned that Dolph Ziggler isn’t the only SmackDown Superstar headed to Raw. Robert Roode is set to go with him.

Robert Roode has been in Canada and unable to make the television tapings. The travel ban between countries due to COVID-19 stopped that travel from happening. Now there is a loophole for professional athletes which they will apparently utilize. It is not clear how soon Roode will be back.

My Take:

  • I am going to guess that Roode will be paired with Dolph Ziggler when he returns. They made a solid tag team and I don’t see either of them getting singles pushes right now.

2) More On The Rumored NEXUS Reunion

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, members of the WWE creative team were not aware of the plan to reunite the NEXUS at Wrestlemania 36. This comes after both Darren Young and Wade Barrett have confirmed the rumor.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

An interesting note is that those pretty high up in creative were never told about this, so it could have been a Vince idea that he didn’t tell hardly anyone about, but it was never serious enough to be in any WrestleMania discussions. It also could be that you couldn’t do it without Barrett, since he was the leader, and once he turned it down, the idea was dead.

My Take:

  • I feel like the NEXUS reunion was going to have something to do with the Firefly Fun House match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. That is my guess but I could be wrong.
