3) More WWE Stars Planning On Skipping The Next Saudi Arabia Show
According to WrestlingNews.co, there are more wrestlers who are planning on skipping the next WWE event in Saudi Arabia. This comes after some heightened tensions in the Middle East as of late.
Here is an excerpt from the report:
Several wrestlers said privately around the time of the “mechanical issues” that they were not planning on going back to Saudi Arabia. Now, with the heightened tensions in the Middle East, specifically the recent issues in Iran, there are more wrestlers questioning whether they should fly out for the next show. I was told that at least two more wrestlers have decided against going to the next Saudi Arabia show.
My Take:
- It will be interesting to see how many guys skip out on the show this time. I am sure that the number will only continue to grow.
2) Why WWE Didn’t Sign Tessa Blanchard
Over the weekend, Tessa Blanchard was someone who made a lot of headlines. This came after several wrestlers came forward and shared various allegations about her.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE didn’t sign Tessa to a developmental contract in the past because of her “attitude issues”.
Tessa made several appearances for WWE in 2016 and 2017, including competing in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. They didn’t end up signing her to a contract though.
My Take:
- Not much to say about this one. After various wrestlers came forward over the weekend, the attitude issues part makes a lot of sense.
