Rumor Roundup: Two WWE Stars Getting A New Gimmick? The Identity Of The Mystery Hacker, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Conditions Improve At The Latest WWE Television Tapings

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), the conditions for the live crowd at the WWE Performance Center have drastically improved as of late.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

“After a couple of tapings where the conditions weren’t so wonderful, many who have attended recent tapings WWE have held spoke of improved situations. From air conditioning in the tents to chairs (yes!) in between segments, Fightful has heard that the more recent sets have been much easier to work. WWE has also brought in food trucks, added coolers for energy drinks. One of the catering shops actually told a person in attendance if WWE didn’t use them so often throughout this process, that they would have had to furlough some of their employees. “

My Take:

  • This is good to hear. Hopefully this helps raise the morale a bit after the recent positive COVID-19 test.

4) The Identity Of The Smackdown Mystery Hacker

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Smackdown hacker was originally set to be revealed as Mustafa Ali.

It is now unclear if WWE has dropped the storyline with the news that Ali is moving to the RAW roster:

On the roster pages, Ali has been quietly moved to Raw. At the same time, the guy backstage who sees all of what takes place in secret on SmackDown, which was originally set to be revealed as Ali, has disappeared from television

My Take:

  • It would be a bummer if they dropped the hacker angle completely. It seemed to generate a lot of interest before it was removed from television.
