Rumor Roundup: Two Possible Returns At The Royal Rumble, Paul Heyman’s New Focus On RAW, More

3) WWE Superstars Return Is “Imminent”

Samoa Joe has been out of action with a hand injury for several weeks now. During his time off, he has been working as a member of the RAW commentary team.

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Joe’s return to the ring is coming very soon:

Samoa Joe’s in-ring return from his broken thumb is imminent.

My Take:

  • This is great news as Joe is one of my favorites in all of WWE. I hope that WWE gives him a push into the main event scene in 2020.

2) WWE Adds More Time To Superstars’ Contract

WWE appears to put a clause in their contracts that allow them to tack on extra time [to the contract] when a Superstar is injured.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE has extended Jeff Hardy’s contract since he has been out with an injury. Here is what Sapp wrote about Hardy’s current status.

Jeff Hardy’s original expected return date was early November, but he’s still sidelined as WWE is having him take care of his personal and legal issues upon returning. It should be noted that they’ve already extended his contract due to missed time.

My Take:

  • The most important thing is for Jeff to get his issues sorted out. He is one of my all-time favorites and I don’t want to see him getting into any more legal troubles. My fingers are crossed for him.
