Rumor Roundup: Triple H’s New Plan For NXT, Vince’s Reaction To Zelina’s Firing, More

3) Former WWE Superstar Opens The Door For A Possible Return

Dave Boy Smith Jr. was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated. During this, he noted that a return to WWE is “very possible”.

Here is what Smith said:

“I think it’s definitely a possibility. In addition to the WWE Hall of Fame, I was also supposed to be touring regularly with All Japan Pro Wrestling. I had a big opportunity with their Champion Carnival tournament in April, but I couldn’t travel to with the pandemic. I have a lot to think about and a lot of options to weigh, but I’m looking forward to seeing what transpires in my future. A return to WWE is very possible.”

My Take:

  • I would be down to see him back in WWE. I always liked his tag team with Tyson Kidd.

2) Reason For The Lack Of Build To Survivor Series

According to a rumor from Cageside Seats, the reason for the minimal interaction between RAW and Smackdown in the build towards Survivor Series is to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread.

Here is what the site wrote:

There is speculation that one reason why there have been minimal cross-brand interactions in the lead up to Survivor Series is to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

My Take:

  • This does make sense as usually we would have stuff going on between brands for multiple weeks before Survivor Series. With the current situation going on, I think that they have handled it well.
