3) Why Bray Wyatt vs Daniel Bryan Isn’t Happening At TLC
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is taking their time with the storyline between Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt.
That is why they aren’t facing off at TLC. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Bray Wyatt as The Fiend, was to defend against Daniel Bryan, but that’s been delayed for storyline reasons. The idea is to spend more time and deepen the story before doing the Fiend vs. Bryan rematch. Wyatt, not as The Fiend, is scheduled for a non-title match with The Miz.
My Take:
- Anytime that WWE takes their time with a storyline, I am down for it. They seem to rush a lot of things, so this is good news I think. I am excited to see what happens over the next month.
2) Top Champion To Lose Belt
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been a lot of rumors about Shayna Baszler as of late.
Meltzer says that there are rumors of Shayna dropping the NXT Women’s Championship to start a feud with Becky Lynch on the WWE main roster.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
There have been rumors for some time of Baszler losing to Ripley and moving to the main roster for a feud with Becky Lynch, and what happened leading to Survivor Series and at Survivor Series certainly built that. The only question regards if they want to move top stars off NXT for the main roster because that tells people NXT is lesser, a message they’ve been trying to tell the opposite of. Survivor Series itself was booked to tell people the opposite. But Baszler moving to the main roster has been planned for some time.
My Take:
- If it was up to me, I would have Shayna drop the belt to Rhea. After this, I would have Shayna take part in the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match. There is nothing more for Shayna to do in NXT and it is time to see what she can do on the main roster.
