Rumor Roundup: The Undertaker’s Retirement, WWE Changed Their Plans For Rhea Ripley, More

3) Jeff Hardy’s Future

Matt Hardy was recently interviewed by the New York Post. During this, he was asked if it was weird being in a different promotion than his brother, Jeff Hardy.

Matt ended up revealing that Jeff still has a big chunk of time left on his contract with WWE:

Not really. It’s been comfortable and I’m very confident with everything I’m doing. It would be nice to say, like well we can do this big angle and then Jeff and I team up and we wrestle The Young Bucks. That would be amazing and great and hopefully down the road that happens. He still has a big chunk of time left on his deal, but we’ll see what the future holds.

My Take:

  • I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see Jeff stay with WWE. They seem like they are planning a big push for him. Based on Matt’s comments, it sounds like Jeff has another year or something with WWE.

2) How WWE Perceives Charlotte Flair

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE does not view Charlotte Flair as a heel. They also don’t view her as a babyface.

Here is what he said:

“She’s just supposed to be a star. She’s not a babyface and she’s not a heel.”

My Take:

  • This sounds similar to what WWE was doing with Roman Reigns for a while. “I am not a good guy, I am not a bad guy, I am THE guy”.
