Rumor Roundup: The Presentation Of Wrestlemania 37, Goldberg’s WWE Future, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) How Much WWE Is Paying Matt Riddle

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt Riddle’s new contract with WWE is for $400,000 per year. It is also a three-year deal.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Riddle did officially sign his three-year deal at $1.2 million over the three years. His getting the U.S. title kind of signified it

My Take:

  • Seems like a solid deal for both Riddle and WWE. Prior to the pandemic, I am sure that this would have been a lot higher.

4) Goldberg’s Future

During a recent interview with The Pop Culture Show, Goldberg confirmed that his current contract with WWE calls for him to wrestle two matches per year, until 2023.

I am contracted with the WWE for the next two years through 2022, ’23. I’ve got two matches per year.

Since Goldberg wrestled Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble, this means that he still has one more match left for 2021.

My Take:

  • I am on the train who wants Goldberg to hang up the boots. I just don’t get excited for his matches anymore.
