3) Another Update On Kairi Sane
Kairi Sane defeated Bayley on this week’s episode of RAW. There are plenty of rumors floating around that this may have been Kairi’s final match with WWE.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Kairi is still scheduled for the next episode of RAW. That means the latest episode wasn’t her final appearance with the company.
My Take:
- I am going to miss Kairi and I hope that she comes back down the road. She is so talented and I feel like WWE didn’t use her to her full potential.
2) The Possible Plans For Asuka
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there were originally some plans in place for Natalya to injure Kairi Sane. This would have led to a feud between Natalya and Asuka at Summerslam.
Natalya looks to have been replaced in this storyline by Shayna Baszler. Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“The idea as of yesterday was for Kairi Sane to be injured and the person who injures her — who by TV tonight looks to be Shayna Baszler and Baszler was brought back as a back-up to injure Kairi Sane and it looks like she’s going to be the back-up because Natalya was originally scripted in that role, but she’s been kept off as far as I know Natalya does not have COVID, but she’s been off for weeks.”
My Take:
- I am just bummed that we aren’t getting Asuka vs Kairi Sane at Summerslam before Kairi leaves. That is a match that I still want to see and I think that it could be really good.
