3) New WWE Superstar Names

According to Heel By Nature, WWE recently filed to trademark two names for new Superstars. These names are ‘Carmelo Hayes’ and ‘Trey Baxter’.

Here is what the site wrote:

On 5/26, WWE filed trademarks for the names Carmelo Hayes and Trey Baxter. The applications were entered into the trademark database on Saturday (5/29) afternoon.

My Take:

  • Looking forward to following both of their careers moving forward. Still too early to tell if those names will stick or not.

2) The Backstage Reaction To Wrestlemania Being Two Nights

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, a lot of Superstars and staff members in WWE enjoyed Wrestlemania being two nights. Superstars noted that the lack of crowd fatigue was a big positive for spacing things out, rather than doing one long show.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

The two night WrestleMania seems to be a hit, at least with the talent and staff we’ve spoken to. Talent that Fightful heard back from enjoyed the two night move, citing the lack of crowd exhaustion as a huge benefit.

My Take:

  • I don’t blame them. Hard to stay active as a crowd when a show is 8 hours long.
