Rumor Roundup: The Plans For Asuka At Wrestlemania 37, Small Surprise At Survivor Series, More

3) NXT Star Teases Return

Karrion Kross was forced to vacate the NXT Championship a few months ago due to a shoulder injury. Kross recently provided fans with an update on Instagram and he appears to be close to returning.

Here is what he wrote:

I have deliberately neglected to answer any questions about my health from fans since August 22nd for a variety of reasons. I see them everyday though. And the check in’s have been sincerely appreciated.

However, Today I will answer your question.

I feel absurdly stronger now than I did even before July. I have not squandered this time away.

I have always been addicted to challenges and avenues of improvement since I was a small kid. And I see no point in returning if I’m not coming back even stronger than I was to begin with.

See you all again when the T I M E is right. Which as you know… could be any second. Or maybe when you least expect it.

EXCELSIOR ⏳💀⏳ #TickTock

My Take:

  • Kross vs Finn Balor would be a great main event of the next Takeover event in December. It would be an easy storyline to set up as Balor didn’t beat Kross to win the title.

2) More Employees Released By WWE

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE let go of several more employees this week. Here is what he wrote:

There have been additional staff let go from World Wrestling Entertainment on Friday, PWInsider.com has confirmed, mostly logistical and behind the scenes staff working out of Stamford, CT. One source believed it was 10-15 staffers in total.

Tony Chimel is the biggest name who was let go. Another name was Derek Casselman, who has worked with WWE for 27 years as the the Director of Venue Merchandise and Remote Operations for WWE.

My Take:

  • I always hate to see people lose their jobs. I wish them all the best.
