Rumor Roundup: The Plans For Adam Cole, The New Plans For NXT, More

3) Backstage Note On The Recent WWE Releases (Part 2)

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H didn’t have any say in the recent talent releases.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“Paul Levesque [Triple H] and Shawn Michaels didn’t have anything to do with the cuts. It was done by Vince McMahon, Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis and the basic gist is that NXT is gonna change.”

My Take:

  • Seems like Triple H never has a say in these things. He must be upset as he lost a lot of solid NXT talent.

2) The New Plans For NXT

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is going back to hiring bigger talent, who are younger. This will be for NXT and the WWE Performance Center.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“‘No more midgets, no one starting in their 30s. They want people who can be box office attractions and main characters.’ Of course, box office attractions is one of those self-fulfilling prophecies.”

My Take:

  • Hopefully there are some exceptions or else they are going to miss out on a lot of great talent.
