Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Former WWE Star Returning On A Part-Time Basis?
On the latest edition of his podcast, Jerry Lawler spoke about Kelly Kelly’s return at the Royal Rumble. Lawler hinted that Kelly Kelly will be back in WWE on a “semi-regular basis”.
Here is what Lawler said:
“I got a chance to talk to Kelly before the match for a long time. She’s just doing great. And from what I understand we may be seeing more of her. She may be coming back on a semi-regular basis.”
My Take:
- Kelly looks to be in great shape and I wouldn’t mind seeing her a few times a year. It will be interesting to see if she ends up wrestling on RAW or Smackdown over the next few months or of this just means Royal Rumble matches and Wrestlemania battle royals.
4) NXT Stars Receive Raises
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, several NXT stars received raises after NXT moved to the USA Network.
Here is what he wrote:
“Several NXT talent got significant raises back in October when the new television deal with USA Network kicked in. We heard that it wasn’t exactly Raw or Smackdown money, but was “substantial” for those that ended up signing them compared to what they were making before.”
We’re told that most of the contracts came with new three-year agreements as a result. Not all of the talent offered signed the new deals. We’re working to find out who offered is among those.
My Take:
- This should clear up the rumors that NXT stars were unhappy because they didn’t receive any extra money. That was a rumor floating around for a few weeks.
