3) Employees At WWE Headquarters Told To Work From Home
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is advising all of its employees at WWE Headquarters to work from home. This is due to the coronavirus pandemic that is dominating headlines around the World.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
PWInsider.com has been told by numerous WWE sources that the company sent out an email to all employees today advising them that if they have the capability to do so, they should be working remotely from home if they can for the foreseeable future in order to help combat the coronavirus outbreak.
As we reported several days ago, WWE had different divisions working remotely over the last week to test out how things would work if they implemented such safety measures. Now, they are going forward with implementing them for those working at WWE HQ.
My Take:
- This shows us that WWE is taking the pandemic seriously and I am glad to hear this.
2) What WWE Is Telling Superstars Right Now
Since WWE Superstars don’t have the luxury of working from home, a reasonable question is, what about them?
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline says that Superstars have been told if they don’t feel comfortable with coming to Orlando for tapings, they don’t have to:
WWE has told talent that if they aren’t comfortable coming for tapings right now they didn’t have to come and there would be no repercussions.
My Take:
- I am glad to hear that Superstars aren’t being forced to come to work. We are appreciative of the ones who do show up to entertain but I wouldn’t hold it against anybody if they wanted to stay home with their families right now.
