3) The Current Favorite To Win The NXT North American Championship
WWE recently announced a ladder match for NXT Takeover: 30. This will determine who the next NXT North American Champion will be after the belt was vacated by Keith Lee.
According to 888 Sport, Finn Balor is the current betting favorite to win the Title (at 2.67 to 1 odds). Bronson Reed and Adam Cole are also tied in second place at the moment (at 4 to 1 odds).
My Take:
- Finn Balor would definitely make for a solid Champion. I kind of hope that they go with someone else though because I want to see Balor feud with Keith Lee and Karrion Kross.
2) WWE Returning To Saudi Arabia Soon?
During WWE’s annual shareholder meeting, Vince McMahon hinted that they could be returning to Saudi Arabia for a PPV before 2020 is over.
Here is what Vince said (h/t to Wrestlenomics for the quote):
Oh, that’s a possibility. Obviously, Saudi has been going through what we in America have been going through. As far as COVID’S concerned. Right now, I think they’re doing a little bit better than we are [in the U.S.], considerably better. So there’s a possibility that we will still get a show in before the end of the year, as was scheduled. But we’re not certain because, you know, who can be certain about what COVID-19 is going to do.
My Take:
- It will be interesting to see how the turnout will be from the roster if they do another show in Saudi Arabia. I feel like a ton of the roster will refuse to go due to the COVID-19 situation.
