Rumor Roundup: The Backstage Attitude About Wrestlemania 36, WWE-Wembley Stadium, More

1) The Backstage Attitude About Wrestlemania 36

Wade Keller of PWTorch has provided some details on the backstage attitude during the tapings for Wrestlemania 36.

According to Keller, this was NOT a situation where WWE stars had the attitude of “let’s just get this over with”. This is something that had been rumored over the past few weeks.

The backstage attitude was that they all wanted to put on a good show to surprise people. Here is what Keller said:

“From a number of wrestlers who were at the tapings, I did hear that this was not like a Saudia Arabia [feeling of] ‘let’s just get through this.’ The attitude among the wrestlers was, ‘everyone really wanted to work hard and try to make this work.’

This did come across as a night where the wrestlers were like, ‘we’re here, we’re not here under protest or resentful or we don’t see this as [not] important.’ I was told the attitude among the crew was ‘let’s surprise people.’ That was the attempt and I think it’s clear they were attempting to work hard and salvage this given the tough circumstances.”

My Take:

  • Wrestlemania 36 definitely exceeded my expectations. All of the WWE stars deserve a lot of credit for putting on such great matches under the circumstances. I was entertained for two straight nights.
