3) More WWE Releases Coming Soon?
According to Andrew Zarian on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, more WWE releases are expected in the upcoming weeks.
Here is what Zarian said (via Ringside News):
“I would say some more cuts to be announced in the coming weeks…Expect some more cuts.”
My Take:
- Definitely a scary time to be a fringe member of the WWE roster. After the release of Braun Strowman, it looks like a lot of talent is fair game.
2) Update On The Non-Compete Clauses Of The Released Superstars
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the non-compete clauses of the Superstars that were released by WWE this week will be expiring anywhere from September 6th to 10th. This puts it after AEW’s next PPV, ‘All Out’, which takes place on September 5th.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
We are told that all the non-competes land around 9/6-9/10, so that’s a no.
My Take:
- WWE timed it perfectly so none of the released Superstars will be able to appear at All Out.
