Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Details About Bray Wyatt’s Release
Freddie Prinze Jr. (who is a former WWE producer), was recently a guest on the Ringer Wrestling podcast. During this, Prinze hinted that Bray Wyatt’s issues with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn led to his release from WWE.
Here is what he said (via Ringside News):
“I can’t tell you everything I know. I know Bray, I wouldn’t say we’re friends, but we’re acquaintances. But I still have friends at the company. Like I said earlier, if you’re willing to work a specific way, then even if you have a bad match, in the eyes of the top two dudes at the company, it’s a good match because you’re doing business their way. If you’re wanting to step out of that lane and widen your river or just show there’s some other streams, even if you have a great match, it’s just a good match. And when you stick to your guns time and time again they’re going to stick to theirs.
My Take:
- I still say WWE made a mistake with Bray. They should have never let him go.
4) Update On If WWE Is For Sale
WWE President, Nick Khan, was recently interviewed on the Recode Media podcast. During this, he was asked about WWE possibly selling within the next year.
Here is what Khan said (via Fightful):
“We’re open for business on anything and everything. Even some of the business plans that we’ve announced recently are different and unique to what the company has traditionally done. We’re open for business. If somebody called, we’ll listen, but we’re not active or out on the marketplace trying to change that structure,”
My Take:
- I feel like that means they won’t sell unless someone severely overpays. Who knows though.
