3) Update On The Rumors Of Eva Marie Returning
A few months ago, there was a rumor floating around that Eva Marie had re-signed with WWE.
Ringside News is claiming that there has been no discussion in WWE about bringing back Eva. Here is what they wrote:
Ringside News has learned that there is currently no talk about her return. When reports came out that she signed a new deal with the company, many wondered what type of contract she inked.
A tenured member of the creative team confirmed to us multiple times over the past month that her name has not come up in any meetings. Most recently, we were told on Monday of this week that her name is still not mentioned.
My Take:
- Maybe they are keeping her return as a big surprise? I don’t know if I really care either way though.
2) Big E Was Originally Going To Be On Team Smackdown
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE originally planned to have Big E on Team Smackdown at Survivor Series. There were even plans in place for Big E to be involved in a qualifying match before they were pulled.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
There was a plan for Big E’s qualifying match to air on the November 13 episode of Smackdown before it was pulled due to time constraints. Much of the decision making Survivor Series teams was done weeks ahead for this year’s show, but a pivot to Otis was made the week of the event.
My Take:
- I am glad they kept Big E off the team as it ended up protecting him. Team Smackdown got dominated in the match and it is probably better in the long-term that Big E didn’t take a pinfall loss.
